Roadkill BBQ
Nitrogods
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: NITROGODS; signed via Steamhammer Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, on their 3rd album entitled: "Roadkill BBQ". (Released 26th of May 2017)
Since formation in 2011; the quintet in question have 2 albums behind them, I'm introduced to their 3rd deliverance: "Roadkill BBQ". Sounds like a wacky old time album, right? Yes. 14 no bullshit Rock 'n Roll tracks, ranging at around 40 minutes - the quartet provide a solid slab of hard-hitting Rock delicacies as right of the earphones with "Rancid Rock", I'm enjoying a modernized version of MOTORHEAD-esquire characteristics that showcase fluent vocalizations from Henny Wolter on guitars/vocals. The titular track "Roadkill BBQ" makes this abundantly evident as even the complex, dexterous velocity distributes a crushing formula of hard rocking expertise - enjoyably enlightening and substantially fulfilling. The vocals flourish with a unique distinction of Lemmy Kilmeister influences that are incredibly admirable, and proficiently executed - "My Love's A Wirebrush" has more elegant grooves that you can't help but dance to.
Consisting of powerhouse savages – Oimel Larcher on vocals/bass & Klaus Sperling on drums, the constructive duo efficiently contribute a tasteful sound production process as well as an organic, rhythmic aesthetic built in. "Bad Place Wrong People" is a track I can relate to, it's got more uncompromising substances that keep a stimulating groove in full effect. "Wheelin'" keeps up the blistering relentlessness with memorable, and original songwriting exquisiteness. "A Los Muertos" offers a diverse array of high-octane, ear splitting, thunderous attributes that on a personal level, couldn't help but give me a thrill of a time. "The Price Of Liberty" is slower in pace, yet doesn't dismiss the true grit of the quartet's ambition to become the next MOTORHEAD, there is an intentional classic Ted Nugent influence ringing in their ears with this one - there's a real kick with thanks to a pounding rhythm.
"Race To Ruin" features more of that typical MOTORHEAD instrumentation that sufficiently mimics their musicianship proficiencies exceedingly well, the execution is uncanny. "I Hate" reminds me of "I Speak Hate" by CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, in a more simplistic fashion, and "Father" demonstrates more fabulous fretwork with energetic haste. "Where Have The Years Gone" influenced this time by THE WHO, it's a grand conclusion to the standard record's finale and a splendid anthem to boot. The Special Edition includes 2 Bonus Tracks "13 Russian Rocket" & "Did Jesus Turn Water Into Beer", and extends the experience with more unprecedented discoveries that are joyous to the soul. Overall, a highly dynamic record that all fans of Lemmy Kilmeister need to listen to. It's an old-school finesse of Rock 'n Roll prominence in which ticks all of the boxes. Check it out, and rock on!<
