Hard rockers NIGHT SCREAMER are a five piece classical metal outfit from London Town. Formed in 2013 they have made a name for themselves amongst London's metal scene and now they are here with their brand new E.P. ''VIGILANTE''. A follow up to last year's debut E.P. ''HIT N'RUN'' the band have seen themselves grow massively in popularity and land gigs in top venues across London supporting bands such as NEONFLY and NIGHT BY NIGHT . The band is straight out Hard Rock/Classic Metal, and reminds me a lot of ENFORCER, WHITE WIZZARD and CAULDRON.
The first track of the E.P. is ''SACRIFICE'', which begins with a very catchy guitar intro. Then the drums kick in followed by distorted guitars and a basic yet classic sounding guitar riff. ''Killing and grieving a cost worthy sacrifice'' are the lyrics in the chorus, the concept obviously of war!
''GOD OF WAR'' a song of injustice, conflict and again war, for me it's the weakest song on the E.P. yet with a cracking guitar solo and another sing-a-long chorus the song fit's well. The last track is my personal favourite ''GETAWAY'', although the riff actually sounds quite similar to the riff in ''GOD OF WAR''. The song starts with a car engine being started then breaking into the main riff: throughout the song there is police sirens and the lyrics ''You won't get me!, You won't get me!'' add to the visual aspect of the song. You could easily see a video made for this song, with the band in a car chase with police around London.
There is a certain cool factor to this band, I enjoyed this and their last E.P over a few cold beers; I figured that's how the band want the music to be enjoyed. An energetic release full of face melting solos and catchy riffs: Heavy Metal done the right way.
