Nganga - Phthisis album cover

Opening up with this blackened barrage frenzy in blistering blasphemy; "Absent Light" conjures up this rampantly romping malformation of primitively raw ramification on sulphurous yet sinister volatility, as a fierce firepower expertise rumbles speakers with reverberating substance & organically technical meatiness that's symbolic whilst satanic to boot. Firing an all-cylinder fabrication and amplified adrenaline in gnarly distortion that thuds with sturdy weight & synergetic momentum, this punchline tightness manifests with visceral tonality...bombarding eardrums with thumping yet venomous bass audibility from Simon, who piledrives his axe into a flickering assimilation in concretely gritty calamity and crunchy dexterity... impactfully impulses from dynamically strident riffer Tone Bone.

Rapidly swift nimbleness fabricates a dark immensity in bludgeoning experimentation, as frolicking chugs gallop intensely with these enthralling crescendo elements... intertwining a profusely robust strike of pursuits that distil a chiselling foundation in borderline grinds and hostile but cordial abhorrence from Jackl Fij himself. Where uproarious throatiness demonstrates a guttural growl of shrieky & scouring grunts in which showcase this seamless rampage on ruthlessly vehement versatility which songs like "Wound"/"Vacuous Dreams" malignantly rev with. Unleashing this versatile distinguishment in distinctive drum hammerings from Wayno, this rambunctious pummel pounds the set with steely precision & mayhemic tremolo patterns that salubriously create an abominable but bestial craftsmanship brutality which rips with shredding virulence for good, slaying stability.

The penultimate "Lunar Chains" forges a foreboding characteristic in belting clobberings and dense attributes, as a monolithic tempo on quintessential virtuosity that rollicks with slabby solidity & killer licks which revolve through this vicious bombardment in berserk chunkiness that's most remorseless whilst pugnaciously gruesome all at the same time. (of the listenable kind of course) ...overall concluding "Phthisis" with the finale epic banger: "Stems"; an infectiously synthetic injection arms a brimming dose in ominously jarring songwriting musicianship of which technically speaking thralls with metallic persistence & persevering meticulance that slithers with cadaverous but cavernous aesthetic, executed well with the justifiable subgenre in question.

With NGANGA formed in 2021; they only have a demo and an EP under their discography for now, yet an intricately designed formula in Black Metal masquerades with killer malice that's worthy of spinning/re-playing a good few times until the next offering. An enjoyably entertaining experience awaits you with "Phthisis", most definitely do check it out should you fancy a flexibly fundamental meltdown of this vicious conjuration at hand.
