With the way the world is nowadays, it might be a sense of relief to pick up NERO DOCTRINE's upcoming album, "II-Interitus" which is set to release on December 1st, 2017. War trauma, abuse of power, ignorance, "II-Interitus" is an album revolving around fallen empires, nihilism, cynicism and disdain for mankind featuring a thrilling track list to let out any frustrations. Formerly known as DYSTOPIA-NERO DOCTRINE's music is a combination of Scandinavian melodic death, thrash, and progressive metal. The band has a new name, a new label, a new crafted sound and they are ready to unleash what they have to offer. Fans of IN FLAMES, LAMB OF GOD, and ARCH ENEMY will greatly appreciate NERO DOCTRINE.
"II-Interitus" begins its story with "...And The Stones Begin to Speak," which has a groovy, melodic tone that is similar to the musical works of SOILWORK, DISARMONIA MUNDI and IN FLAMES. After is the track, "Plague" which begins with doom/thrash melodies that are constantly shifting to fleeing, straight shooting riffs that leave your head chugging back and forth. The same can be said about "Circumcised" and "From Defiance To Defeat" with more melodic death influence and destructive riffs and solos that are properly complimented with the vocals of Stefan Rengert. These tracks will get you hooked on NERO DOCTRINE. They start off strong and march onward. Nothing is standing in their way.
"Hope Is Just A Word," instantly rattles the cages with high adrenaline drumming and breakdowns that bring a new meaning to heavy. Next track is "Face To The Ground" begins heavy with dark elements, takes a slower course but finishes strong."Eyes Of The Truth" has more black metal influence to it at first and then it changes course to a more melodic rhythm. "II-Interitus" closes with "See, Those Fires Burn" which is an interesting track that has a combination of power/doom metal with black metal vocals and slow breakdowns and then progresses with fast, alluring solos and finishes with a comforting piano melody. The cover art for "II-Interitus" is beautifully destructive and gives the listener a nice image of what to expect. The length of the album is 44:28 and I enjoyed every second of it! Great job. <
