The Name NEAL MORSE is no stranger for any Prog Rock/Metal or musicians worldwide. MORSE is the kind of musician that appears once in a decade and just reinvents the music style he puts his mind to. This time Morse is presenting the second part of his testimony, a sequel to "Testimony", that came out in 2003. Once again he was joined again by the one and only MIKE PORTNOY in his first recorded job since leaving DREAM THEATER.

In this album, Morse keeps the line of Prog Rock al'a YES / RUSH with a modern twist and of course his unique style of composing and arrangements. The album is a double CD. The first CD is the testimony and the second one is a kind of EP which features 3 songs. In this point of my review I must talk a little about "Seeds Of Gold", the last song on the second CD, a song which features an amazing solo by the one and only Steve Morse. The song is a Prog Rock epic with a classical touch on its beginning. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs Morse ever wrote.

The "Testimony" itself is an amazing journey of music that features one of the best rhythm sections I've heard in a while. The playing of Portnoy and Randy was absolutely amazing and of course Morse's playing on everything he touches is simply awesome!

Musically, the album reminds a lot of Morse and Portnoy's work on TRANSATLANTIC but the lyrical themes are different. This album is a religious themed release and that's maybe the only thing that I did not like while listening to it. Besides that, this album is just an amazing mix of Rock, Metal, Funk, classical and with the touch of Morse. It all sounds unique, interesting, fresh, and fun to listen.

Production wise, the work on the album was amazing. As a huge DREAM THEATER fan, I must admit that on this album I heard some of the best drumming sounds and some of his best playing since maybe "Scenes From A Memory". Also, it's good to listen to him moving on and doing some stuff that is a little different from his work with DREAM. And as for Morse, what else I might add, the man is just one of the greatest musicians of our time, and it's sad that he is so underrated.

In conclusion, this is an excellent album, I recommend to everyone to take some time to listen to it because it's just one of the most interesting music creations crafted.
