After the US Hardcore act MOUTHPIECE I reviewed not so long ago, comes NARCOSIS, a band that carries a release almost the same with MOUTHPIECE's Can't Kill What's Inside. For those still wandering what the hell I am talking about, both releases share the same purpose... to present the band's entire recorded output. Kind of like a compressed discography.

The UK (based in Wigan) metallers NARCOSIS have (actually had since they have split up) a pretty long running history since their formation around 1995. As a classic Grindcore band their discography is full of - except the full-length albums - split CD's and demos. Most of them (if not all) are gathered in this best of compilation which covers the band's discography, including the split CD's with BRUTAL TRUTH, MELT BANANA, FUCK THE FACTS, SWARRRM and MOROSE.

As you can easily understand there is not much to say in this review since it obviously addresses to fans of the band. Their music is this kind of noisy Grindcore that is similar to bands like PIG DESTROYER, AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED, DISCORDANCE AXIS etc. Since this is not a full-length release, or even an EP or something, I will not try to judge it. It is a very specific release for a pretty limited audience, an audience that will definitely find it interesting and complete.

I really can't say anything else since people who like the band or are into the Grind scene and want to get to know NARCOSIS will surely go and get this compilation. The rest of you, especially the ones not so familiar with the extreme sound will probably have already stopped reading this review.
