So before we begin I would just like to say how privileged I am to be doing this, NAPALM DEATH are by far a band to be recognised for their years of keeping the extreme metal scene alive and influencing many up and coming musicians as well as keeping the music alive for many generations to come. This is truly an honor for me, so without further adieu here is NAPALM DEATH's "Apex Predator - Easy Meat"!!!!

So I have decided to start this review off with what is by far one of my favorites so far off the new record "How the Years Condemn". The song starts of just like any other of NAPALM's songs heavy and fucking relentless, but what really makes this song stand out for me is the fast and aggressive vocals of Mark "Barney" Greenway for really what is a NAPALM DEATH song without the guttural force of this mans intense style of singing combined with the fast and brutal force of drummer Dave Herrera's skull pounding drum beats. What this song brings to the table is a bit of everything that NAPALM DEATH have done over the years bringing ideas into one whole pot and creating a heavy blast of destructive and relentless force which makes up the song "How The Years Condemn".

The next song to come up to the chopping board is the records eighth song "Cesspits". Now when I started this track the first thing that came to mind was simply this, I feel this track has a lot of "Scum" and a lot of "Time waits for no Slave", I say this because it's fast, it has balls and it certainly makes it's point clear to the listener, really though this is a slamming track if ever there was one and shows that NAPALM have enough gas left in the tank to burn. What this song offers is a look at what the band are still capable of even after all these years of being a band of this magnitude, certainly this is what NAPALM DEATH is, a brutal force to be reckoned with because to me there seems to be no end for these Grind legends and this folks is the proof.

So we now come to the end of what has been for me a very fulfilling journey and I hope for those that have read along. This record shows that no matter how many new Grind bands come along NAPALM DEATH will always bring out something that reminds us where it all came from and how it is done, this is going to be on my best of list by the time this year comes to an end as this truly is an example of extreme brutality by a band that have crafted a legacy that will be hard to beat, but either way I can also say I have fulfilled a dream of mine tonight folks as I have had the honor of reviewing one of my all time favorite bands.
