Mouthpiece - Can't Kill What's Inside album cover

What we have here is a pretty different and interesting release. Can't Kill What's Inside: The Complete Discography is actually one of the best compilations I have ever been across. You will know the reasons why below, although if you already know this band or you are a fan you already have understood why this release kicks major ass.

Back in 1990, there was a group of kids in central New Jersey who loved hanging out and listening to albums by bands like SICK OF IT ALL, CHAIN OF STRENGTH, YOUTH OF TODAY etc. When they decided to form MOUTHPIECE they were determined to play some pure Hardcore music. I was not aware of this band, but from what I read they had a devoted and pretty big fanbase. They split up in 1996, only to do some reunion shows in 2000 and 2004.

Can't Kill What's Inside: The Complete Discography is exactly what the title says... and something more. This best of compilation contains the band's entire recorded output, plus some bonus live songs that were never recorded in a studio, a full live show from the famous Hardcore club CBGB and a video clip for the song Cinder. It is probably the most complete best of release I have ever seen (along with the incredible When All Is Said). I guess that every MOUTHPIECE fan will be impatient to lay his/her hands on it, and this is probably the best way for someone who isn't aware of MOUTHPIECE to get to know the band.

Since this release has - almost - nothing to do with Metal, I preferred to make a presentation than write a review for it. So, you learned everything you wanted to know and it is your time to decide whether this compilation will become a part of your collection or not.
