Mourning Rise - Five Ways To Illuminate Silence album cover

MOURNING RISE formed in the summer of 2006 with band members of different musical tastes and styles that were driven but the idea of constant grief with a an invigorating element: a counterpoint made of black humour, critical questions and cynical irony.

Five Ways To Illuminate Silence includes 5 songs that represent the crosscurrent tastes of every musician that is involved in this project. Death Metal, Funk, acoustic Pop, Rock, Heavy Metal are some of the music genres I could distinguish from the first audition of this album. Of course I couldn't make it through a second audition because these salad of music isn't something I can stand. Maybe that is way the Five Ways To Illuminate Silence has only 24 minutes playtime and includes an awesome CD booklet, well designed with clever humoristic lyrics.

Honestly I can't make a review about a band that is undecided about its music style. On the other hand, if you like the all-music-styles-in-one packages give in to MOURNING RISE. They can give you what you need.
