Motorhead - Better Motorhead Than Dead album cover

What else can you write about MOTORHEAD that hasen't already been written? On June 16th, 2005 MOTORHEAD and their fans were gathered in Hammersmith, London to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Yes, it is true; MOTORHEAD are playing hard rock n' roll music for 30 fuckin' years and it seems like Lemmy and his gang can still 'raise hell' in every town, in every club, in every concert.
It would be appropriate - this day - bands influenced by the MOTORHEAD sound and attitude to be there just to pay a little tribute to Lemmy. But MOTORHEAD decided to stand proud on themselves, proving why they have so much loyal fans all around the world. Better Motorhead Than Dead brings you closer to that night. Feel what is like to play the same kind of music for so long and still enjoy it. Never going the wrong way, no matter what the record labels say. MOTORHEAD didn't change in 30 years; they are not going to change now...fuck NO!
The tracklist is a 'very best of' MOTORHEAD but with the energy that only the 'live Lemmy machine' can bring to us. Classics like "Stay Clean, "Over The Top, "Metropolis (or "Acropolis; Greek fans like it better this way), "No Class, "Sacrifice (Mikkey Dee with his 'trademark' solo; the "best drummer in the world????), "Iron Fist, "Killed By Death", "Bomber, "Ace Of Spades, "Overkill, even the song that is always requested by the audience and wasn't played for a long time: "(We Are) The Road Crew. Plus: the tribute to "R.A.M.O.N.E.S(it's a shame they lasted for only 22 years - R.I.P Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee). I bet they would be the guests of honour on this special night.
As far as the sound, it is delivering the feeling of a MOTORHEAD concert. The noise of the overdriven Lemmy bass, Phil Cambell's rock n' roll attitude sound on the guitar (plus Mikkey Dee on drums) is being delivered brutally and they seem to enjoy kickin' ass on stage. After all MOTORHEAD is a live act, a band that is meant to play live in front of thousands of 'over the top' crazy, drunk fans. That is why this is Another live album in the 30-year-old career of these 'stage killers'!
This is a live CD that celebrates the 30 years of unstoppable rock n' roll music by the man that is never easy, unless he is killed by death. Lemmy and his rock n' roll way of life with all the goods and the bads. All of you maniacs, "Better Motorhead Than Dead is, for sure, the new piece of your MOTORHEAD collection.
