MOTORFINGERS is a Heavy Metal band founded in Modena Italy in 2008. Displaying an energetic fusion of Hard Rock along with melodic verses and thundering double bass drum structures while relaying on the voice of Abba, taking over vocal duties on this record, after the departure of the original singer, and contributing a great deal of a constant creative flow along with the band, that threw "Goldfish Motel" thus, their second LP and the follow up to 2012's "Black Mirror."
"Walk on your face" the opening track to this album, is to me, one of the most perfectly calibrated intros I have heard in a long time, and I must say I felt infatuated by the rhythm, the energy and the cadence it involves; once again I am taught not to judge of a book by its cover, never expecting such a consistent sound by looking at the Goldfish on the cover. Amazing intro, outstanding bridge and a very good contrast with "XXXIII" if you play them together. The atmosphere created by this track has a certain Nordic feel to it, reminding the listener of bands like SENTENCED, contrasting beautifully with the intro to "Nothing but a man" and the way this acoustic ballad emerges as a sort of emancipation to the pre-established unspoken laws of the album, the manner of its construction and the violin resembling the vocal frame makes this a track filled with depth and the ingredients necessary to build the zenith of Goldfish Motel.
"Eat your gun" has a resounding guitar lick that functions as a closure to the rest of the frequencies and vibrations presented previously on this record, a second work by MOTORFINGERS worthy of respect, for the effort poured on it and the prevalence of its musicians after sustaining important lineup changes and being able to release a sustain to their work without falling on procrastination or a creative block. The vocal structure is without a doubt one of the greatest strengths of this band and it just develops the feeling that the instruments are left a Little behind, both on the song writing and the production, yet fugacious and intermittent the execution of drums, guitar and bass make up for it. a radio sample of what the Goldfish Motel would sound like in an actual dimension adds up to the atmosphere leaving the listener ready for check-in and the invigorating stay in this full vacancy facility.
