MORLAS MEMORIA is a Symphonic Gothic Metal band from Dresden in Germany. They formed in 2010 and on May 2014 they released their full-length debut album "Follow The Wind".

"The Mirror" is a climatic gentle opener with symphonic elements and massive riffs together with opera style vocals. High singing, gentle violins, and heavier guitars sound really interesting combined like this. A memorable chorus make the song very good. Stronger guitars and melodic keys in "Incorrigible" set the climate, which is perfect with her singing in German. It's a memorable track also with screaming by the male vocalist in the background.

Instrumental "Silence" has gentle guitar and also stronger sounds with flute inside. All of this makes a nice and amazing atmosphere! Titled track "Follow The Wind" has heavier guitars with symphonic sounds and a fabulous choir of band. Vocalist Leandra Johne shows her wonderful singing together with accompaniment of acoustic guitar and piano in "Ohne Probe". The melodic operatic singing in "Medusa's Tale" sounds great together with gentle climate which suddenly changes into heavier sounds.

Worth a listen are also: "Circle Of Greed"; where flute and stronger riffs mix with operatic melodic voice, the powerful "Sphinx"; with heavier riffs and gentle piano that sound brilliant together, there is strength with the opera style singing in "Case Of Pandora"; where also is fine choir of band, "Impetus" where violins sounds catchy with stronger guitars and progressive rate.

Each song is different from one another. This music has a great climate. The musicians of MORLAS MEMORIA has their way & follow it perfectly. This album is totally interesting. You wouldn't be bored, because you can still find new sounds. From powerful songs to relaxing songs. I highly recommend to Symphonic Gothic Metal lovers and such bands like NIGHTWISH and WITHIN TEMPTATION.
