Welcome to the latest album of MOONLOOP: "Deeply From The Earth". I was listening to the first track "Awaking Spirals of Time" and instantly I felt that MOONLOOP will bring something different to the table. These four Spanish men brings with them a fine Progressive Death Metal with changing structures, characterized by powerful guitar riffs and atmospheric passages and yes, they bring their own thunder and they have a lot to say about it.

I've heard a lot of Progressive Death Metal bands such as: SYMBYOSIS, INTO ETERNITY and many more and their all good however, MOONLOOP put the psychedelic structures of Progressive Metal on the spot light with 40% elements from the Death Metal sub-genre world and nature. The more I think about it, the more it looks like the structure of a good vodka bottle: 40% of madness...

Jules Verne wrote one of my favorite books of all times: "A Journey to the Center o fthe Earth" and basically it's about four people that descend into an extinct Icelandic volcano, encountering many adventures, including prehistoric animals and natural hazards, before eventually coming to the surface again in southern Italy. And in the story is about facing things like time-loops and gravity issues and fear of monsters on all shapes and colors and a lot more thing that the human mind is refuse to face and I believe that there are a lot of similarities between MOONLOOP's "Deeply from the Earth" and Verne's story line...

Eric Baule (Vocals / Lead guitar / Rhythm guitar) & Juanjo Martin (Rhythm guitars / Background vocals): The combination between the deathly growling techniquesand the gentle vocal abilities of Progressive Rock is very successful and interesting. From a vocalist point of view both sides of the same coin are very honest and realistic and for me and for many metal fans, honesty is sometimes the foundation of a solid and great music and beyond. The guitar techniques, on the other hand; we all have heard these before (solos and rhythms). We all would be more than happy to be exposed to another side of MOONLOOP's idea of what Progressive Death Metal should sound like. Raul Payan (Drums): Unstable and you know what? That's the beauty of this kind of drumming work. No one said the drumming work has to be integral. I will say this: "Metal Has No Uniform" so mark my words. Nice job Raul! Vic Granell (Bass): I was surprised when I heard many parts when the bass sound got the lime-light. It's very rare however it's very important especially for the heavy parts and sub-genres of the metal nature. And when I think about tracks like "Legacy Of Fear" and "Landscape", I realize that there's no escape but to the amazing bass-line structure and techniques.
