Redemption

From the misty lands of the mighty Norsemen comes the Death Metal band MONOSCREAM. It certainly comes as no surprise that yet another talented Metal band was spawned in Scandinavia. Sweden has produced the likes of AMON AMARTH, CHILDREN OF BODOM and IN FLAMES. MONOSCREAM is without a doubt destined to become one of Death Metal's greats.
MONOSCREAM's debut album "Redemption" is aggressive from start to finish and has giant balls of steel. Andreas Deverstam's vocals are brutal audio assault, sounding like a mix of AMON AMARTH's Johan Hegg and LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe. It can't get much better than that. Kim Wiklund's and Anders Hansson's riffing is superb, with some blistering solos. Fredrik Sundberg is a beast on the drums, pounding out a heavy rhythm, sounding much like a runaway freight train. These five musicians certainly deliver the goods and don't hold back.
MONOSCREAM are definitely going to make a name for themselves. You would have to be brain dead or comatose not to the undeniable potential this band has. They are hungry and I feel strongly that they will take the global Heavy Metal community by storm once their music is unleashed to a wider audience.
It was a pleasure to review this great album, which guitarist Kim Wiklund was gracious enough to share with me. I strongly recommend this album to any serious Metalhead. You won't be disappointed.
