Many times when sitting to write a review I have to go online to find general information on a certain band. Usually it's more difficult when reviewing an unsigned band, however in the case of MIRE the press kit I got was superb. I know that it's not part of a music review, however I order to spread the word that a solid press kit does help. On the other hand, I did go online to look up some info about MIRE and to my astonishment all I could read was sites that praise their album and the music so it did make me curious.

According to all information online, and the Press kit, MIRE's new album "Inward, Outward" is a Progressive Metal output, yet after listening, I can't really relate to that in full, MIRE tried to create a style for themselves mixing Prog with Nu Metal. Hard to recount for this mixture, however, I did find the album to be surprisingly a good listen, just take out the harsh lyrics that does make a stand (I will not go into ideology), the album is crafted very nice and I'm sure it will appeal to all open-minded Metal / Rock fans out there. I will just say that it's a sophisticated style with fundamental guitars and classy quality vocals.
