Mightiest - Sinis Terra album cover

When we think about Black Metal scene in Germany, we have strong names on the underground scene, as MYSTIC CIRCLE, NARGAROTH, NINNGHIZHIDDA (that unfortunately is not with us now), but it seems that they are carved into the depths of underground, even being better than some names that are widely known. To join the team of the excellent bands from the style on Germany, we have the quartet MIGHTIEST, and besides they are in activity since 1994, only now they're releasing their first album, "SinisTerra." In their work, we can hear that same excellent way of German melodic Black Metal: the aggressiveness of the style, but with the excellent sinister melodies and great musical arrangements, as well as the use of long songs. Their work is really incredible, creative and melodic, darkened and intense atmosphere, and the vocals are done in a grunted way. Their musical work is really excellent!

The sound quality is not as good as it could be however, being a bit more aggressive and rawer than their work needs. But it isn't a great problem, because we can understand that, in the middle of the nasty aggressiveness of their music and tunes, there are fine melodies and very good tempo changes. All the songs are really excellent, but you can start your voyage through their raw and somber music by "Devour the Sun" (the perfect marriage of aggressiveness with excellent dark melodies, with very good keyboards arrangements and great guitar riffs), the creative and brutal rhythm of "Animalevolence" (that shows some broken tempos, and very good bass guitar and drums works); "SinisTerra," the longest song, that is full of melodic and aggressive atmospheres and different rhythms, along with very good vocals (even some clean voices appears), and the somber "The Purifire," that shows excellent introspective parts, with some great keyboards and guitars once more. They are pretty good, and hope a sequence of albums can come soon, because they can conquest a great number of fans.
