Cursed Redeemer

MIASMAL is a Swedish Death Metal group from Gothenburg. These guys are quite an interesting piece. Although these guys are death, they definitely have a heavy Thrash influence. It's heavy and up tempo that's for damn sure. The guitar solos are pretty epic. These guys get two thumbs up for being unique.
"Cursed Redeemer" is the band's 2nd full length album. As you listen you are taken in a journey of unique metal mastery. The vocals are deep harsh Death Metal vocals. Quite awesome. There are no clean vocals at all. The drums are fast, but there is not much double bass work. The drums are quite thrashy, at times veering into strait death style. The guitar work is also heavily Thrash influenced. They go back and forth between half Death half Thrash styling to epic Thrash solos. And their solos are pretty awesome. These guys have definitely taken the time to perfect and convey the unique sounds they produce. The double bass work where thrown in isn't bad either. As a whole the band is right on target. They have the speed and keep it together very well.
Though MIASMAL isn't that brutal, they still have earned themselves their spot in the Death Metal scene. They keep it rocking from start to finish. My head was moving the whole time. They do have some catchy rhythms, and some nice heavy riffs. I definitely find these guys to be unique with their Death / Thrash arrangement. It doesn't follow the typical arrangement for the mix. I think any open minded metal head would enjoy "Cursed Redeemer".
