Marduk - La Grande Danse Macabre album cover

After 10 years of unholy existence and numerous killer releases, shortly after Infernal Eternal (live album), Sweden's war machine Marduk are releasing their thirteenth album, La Grande Danse Macabre.
Just like its predecessor (Panzer Division Marduk), La Grande Danse Macabre varies from the illfull brutality that only a band like Marduk can deliver to an utter heaviness that will almost make your skull crack. Fourty five minutes and 10 tracks of ultra violence mixed with some epic elements holding the listener totally nailed to the CD. Well...one thing that could be considered negative is that in a few songs they tend to repeat themselves but in general it's a great album. Really aggressive guitar riffs, drums straight from the underworld and Legion's vocals coming out of the very depths of the biggest inferno...Hell.
La Grande Danse Macabre was recorded in Abyss Studios and mixed by Peter Tagtgren, which I must say did a great job. The good, clean and aggressive production gives even a bigger attitude to the band's new creation.
So, Marduk once again proved that they are able to put up the same ultra violence as experienced in Panzer Division Marduk but still mix in some epic elements without lacking quality and dedication to the concept and ideas, which the band created a decade ago.
