Lucifericon - The Occult Waters album cover

You know how they say that wishes come true. The funny thing is that I was thinking to myself how I wish I could review a good old school Death Metal. I haven't gotten a chance to review a good one for a long time and if I haven't had enough problems, I got a late night visit from the all mighty himself or at least a Mail from him. It does seem that technology takes over all aspects in our lives that even Lucifer uses mail than visiting in person, damn.

So what I got was LUCIFERICON's new EP, however no real information about these guys and I think that it's not a coincidence, however after digging into the deep (Google), there is nothing I wouldn't do for my loyal fans, I got this info about the band. It features four members or ex-members of DESTROYER 666, PENTACLE, MALICIOUS DREAM and EXCISION), so you can probably understand what you will be having for dinner this time around.

"The Occult Waters" is classic old school Death meets Black Metal, well written. However, bear in mind that this is an EP and the first song "Infinituum" is an intro therefore leaving you with only 4 tracks of massive old school attack. Don't dare to miss "Moon Over Fading Statues", indeed a classic.

All in all, this is an EP, so there aren't too much to listen to, yet a good start nonetheless.
