"Got my woman, but lost my house, guess we got something to bitch about", now that is classic 80s lyrics right there! When I heard there was a chance to review LOVERBOY's latest release, I jumped on it in a hot second. Why? As a child of the 80s, LOVERBOY's music was everywhere, and their classic hits "Working For The Weekend" and "Loving Every Minute Of It" permeated our ears through almost every media possible. How many commercials, movies, and TV shows had LOVERBOY's music, in some form or fashion, weaved into the story line? The correct answer is, a lot.
"Rock N Roll Revival" features many of their greatest hits, with 3 new tracks to change things up a bit, all produced by the legendary producer himself, Bob Rock. Nice way to work your way back into the scene, if I do say so myself.
The album was a great trip through memory lane, and more than once I caught myself singing into my beer bottle, because the music is really that catchy. If, mind you, if you are a fan of Rock. The album is very well recorded, the songs are a great mix of new and classic, and on a whole, I'd say the album is a 9 out outta 10. Until next time, stay well, and live free my brothers and sister of Metal!
