At Your Service
Lou Siffer And The Howling Demons

Born out of necessity to play a "one-off" party gig, LOU SIFFER AND THE HOWLING DEMONS are much more than your average house band. Back in 2008, as a favor to a friend in need of a party band, Lou Siffer called upon his talented band mates to come together and rock the house. Playing a style of straightforward hard rock that gets people out of their seats, they were a huge hit and the response to their music was overwhelming. Realizing that they have the sound that appeals to the partying crowd and a connection with a target audience that would sell records, the band became more than just a part time hobby and L.S.H.D. starting taking their music more seriously and strategizing their future. In 2009 they recorded and released the single "The Mosher" and after playing their first official paying gig, they were offered a record deal. Deciding against that deal, they independently released their debut album, "The Devil's Ride" in 2010, which led to moderate success and garnered enough interest to get them booked to several dates on large festivals throughout Sweden.
And now in 2014, LOU SIFFER AND THE HOWLING DEMONS offer up their second full-length album, "At Your Service" via Mighty Music; a high-octane, greasy guitar-driven record that sounds like a punk flavored DANZIG album. MOTORHEAD mixed with VOLBEAT would be another way to best describe their catchy hard-rocking sound. Not exactly a manual to raise your kids by, "At Your Service" is a real man's record with lyrics about cars, drinking and partying and is "full speed ahead" from start to finish. There are enough groovy riffs and gritty vocals in these 13 tracks to fulfill your head banging appetite for quite a while and is really good rock n' roll played the way that rock n' roll used to be played. The "Don't think, just turn it up and rock" mentality was lost years ago and replaced with the "thinking man" style of music that categorically blurs the lines of the rock n' roll genre to the point of mass confusion. There's no confusion here; this music just feels good. And the old saying, "if it feels good, do it" definitely applies here. With Lou Siffer on bass, K-oz on vocals, Kahn Ibbal on guitar, Gil Yotin on guitar, and Ray Zår on drums, L.S.H.D. are intent on playing larger stages and attaining broader exposure with the release of this collection of songs that certainly won't disappoint.
LOU SIFFER AND THE HOWLING DEMONS are a band that, if they play their cards right and surround themselves with the right people, could have some serious bright lights in their future. If you're a fan of real rock n' roll that sounds better the louder you play it, you will most definitely want to check out "At Your Service".
