"Evil to Destroy Evil" has the darkened stance of early Black Metal. The lack of distortion shows that they are not mimics but have their own styles. The overall balance and tempo are very well structured throughout, never dropping. Kicks off the album in some style. The Black Metal deathgrowls are used a lot, but you don't feel its excessively used. It blends into the tempo and rhythm of the song as a whole. It works well
"Ghosts Among Us" starts up from where the previous left off. The high tempo instrumentalists have, if anything, picked up pace and have become more rapid. This shows change between songs and progression through an album. The vocals remain dark, but not distorted. It's a good blend, it has the stereotypical stance off a Black Metal song with frantic vocals, very much like early Mayhem, and that in itself is a huge compliment to any band
"Prayer of Desecration" has a more melodic start, similar to something you'd hear from Dissection, again a huge compliment. The vocalistic styles remain true to the album itself, the melodic feel has gone, the beat is strumming along without that much attention being payed to the instrumentalists. The deathgrowls are held longer in sections of this song than previous, it is once more a very good song
"Builders of the Higher Places" has a blend of Melodic Black with the pulsating True Black vibes when it comes to the rhythm of the song, The vocals are similar to previous, but you don't seem to concentrate on them here as the melody picks up brilliantly. The balance is once again key. The album is fantastically built together
