Have you ever listened to an album and on the very first second you uncontrollably engaged in a nonstop headbanging session until the very last moment, leaving you sweaty and your heart racing with the sense of pulsing energy streaming through your veins as you desperately try to take a breath and realize what the hell just happened? Because that's exactly what LORD's "Fallen Idols" will get you through.

As soon as the opener "United (Welcome Back)" starts playing, you immediately get this oomph feeling, from the fiery drum blast beats, through the exceptionally-well executed falsettos, the tightest of productions and to the tempestuous guitar shredding, you know you are listening to Heavy Metal of the highest quality, and the good news? This ride lasts throughout the entire album.

One might wonder how did LORD manage to pull 55 minutes of sheer ecstasy without making it overly repetitive? It seems like the band deliberately added more and more elements to their songs as the record goes on. Tracks like "Immortal", "Chaos Raining" or "The Edge Of The World" store the answer. On "Immortal", choirs and keyboards took the key role in giving that special touch for an "wow" factor, whilst in "Chaos Raining", apart from using those choirs and keyboards, the vocalist delivered tasty harsh vocals, which came as a very unexpected, yet very welcome surprise. "The Edge Of The World" sees LORD's sound turn to its darkest in the entire record, barely edging their sound to blackened, not before promptly returning to the catchy melodic sing-along choruses that haunt the entirety of "Fallen Idols".

It seems like LORD really nailed it this time. The artistry and musicianship are yet other flawless characteristics of "Fallen Idols". You will never be lacking with tasty guitar exchange madness, nor an everchanging vocal patterns in the verses. The track titles are very appropriately given, and the production couldn't have possibly been any tighter, and after letting "Fallen Idols" blend your brains to a mush, you can clearly understand why LORD are widely addressed as "heavyweights" in the Heavy Metal community, with "Fallen Idols" being merely an abstract of their talents and masterfulness.
