Fogeira De Sueños

Another debut album for me to review brought to life from a black-death-folk Metal band. This time it's a band from Spain, LLVME (meaning fire in the ancient Kingdom of Leon language) that was formed by Nandu in 2007. As you might have predicted, he is also the mastermind of the band, writing all the music and lyrics.
I know that you don't have any time to loose, so on with the review. I'm so sorry, but I still can't think any good reason to sign every band that steps with one foot on folk elements and with the other on extreme Metal. "Fogeira De Sueños" has all those clichés I don't like. The album is predictable as a romantic Hollywood movie. The production surely doesn't help the band, since many demos and not full length albums have a better one. The melodies in moments are very simple and have been played billions of times in the past from other bands. If someone searches for influences, those should be MOONSPELL, MY DYING BRIDE and MAGODE OZ. I know that those bands will make you think that this album is something really good, but unfortunately is something very mediocre. Probably the main problem is the transition from black Metal to folk. There is something that doesn't fit. Oh, and the lyrics? Well don't ask me! There are also written in the ancient Kingdom of Leon language. Hopefully for those that will buy the CD, there will be a translation.
LLVME didn't manage to get my attention with "Fogeira De Sueños". And to tell you the truth, I don't really know what they will do in the future. If you are one of those who buy all the folk/black Metal albums, you should buy "Fogeira De Sueños". If not, then there are better ways and better albums to spend your money, instead to buy a CD with only some good ideas.
