This is what METAL is all about. "Follow Me" bleeds and breathes the spirit of Modern Metal. Liv Jagrell is a Metal freak, keep-fit freak, ball of awesome energy. The best female fronted band since early WARLOCK and Doro Pesch for me. LIV SIN started out in 2016. Basically, Liv loves Metal just like us and just like Doro Pesch, as it happens. I really like the commitment that these artists show to the music. I bit like the life-long commitment to Metal exemplified by Metal God Rob Halford. In fact, this album "Follow Me", dedicates a track to Rob with a cover of FIGHTS "Immortal Sin" (also featuring Jyrki of 69 EYES). Where to start? Well, almost all the tracks are great but I'll have a go at highlighting some. There is solid playing throughout and great tunes and song sections. If you are looking at touch points you could look at ACCEPT, PRIEST, DORO with some CHILDREN OF BODOM. The vocals are really powerful. They bring the songs alive and set the record apart from other recent Metal releases.

"I'm Your Sin" broods away with a swirling feeling and breakdown. The vocal delivery of the title and the word Sin is in true Halford style. Great guitars swirls around the riff. Liv delivers the vocals as if she is in fact taking over your life. Opener "The Fall" riffs out like KREATOR and blasts away on the drum pattern. The vocal is so powerful that you'd have to check this was a female vocalist if you didn't know. Not to say female vocals aren't as powerful of course. This is powerful but melodic and makes for a perfect opener. "Follow Me" follows with a superb PRIEST style buzzing riff and Liv snarls the lyrics in great execution. The breakdown riffing is as good as it gets. If you like classic PRIEST you will love this track. Toward the end there is a loose bass-y section which makes the song a stand-out for me. This is perfect Metal.

"Let Me Out" is a bit more melodic and catchy and I presume would be the single from the album. This sounds like a classic live singalong tune and Liv comes across as a female UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER. Another stand out track is "Black Souls" which starts with an acoustic open and then a blast beat and screams from Liv. This pumps along perfectly. The chorus is shadowed by a descending riff and Liv screaming "black hearts, black souls" with blast beat drums firing along. The solo peels off with a superb feel and the main riff kicks back in to deliver a kick-ass tune. "Endless Roads"  is the ballad, but is still powerful. So it's a Power ballad and an ode to life on the road or the endless road. When Liv proclaims "I am Metal" you have to believe her. If someone asked what is Metal, you wouldn't go far wrong by recommending "Follow Me". As the song says "I am forever young on a never-ending journey". This is perfectly suited to LIV SIN and our never-ending commitment to Metal.
