One of the strongest voices and melodic voices in Metal today returns with what can only be described as a work of art come alive featuring special guests such as the queen of Metal herself DORO.

This is Vervain.

We start with the opening track "My Wilderness". From the very begining of this track we see that it has quite a strong punch to it, very much a great opening which embodies different sound types in order to make it something that gets the listeners attention, and trust me when I say it certainly did just that. As Liv steps up to do her parts you feel the bass which feels like the voice of a higher being chanting to the world below.  Her style of singing is both powerful and creative when it comes to her higher notes which sink in almost instantly.

The next track up is entitled "Love Decay". Now from the begining of this track there is this strong eighties goth style to it, which is brilliant.  Besides this it also encorporates Liv's melody as well as Michaelle Darknesses style of mellow vocals in perfect harmony which without a doubt is just brilliant. In this song there are so many different elements flowing about, that it is just unreal folks, it has this power and melody which work as well as a goth song mixed with high powerful metal, but what we have here is just a classical masterpiece which has been brought together by two incredible singers.

To conclude, what we have here is an idea of which maintains what Liv has done in the past but shows that she has also matured her sound by adding different bits and pieces into one whole. All in all, this is truly a masterpiece which deserves so much praise, since being given this to review I approached this with thought and curiosity, and from this I have found something that can only be expressed as a visual and mind set work of art. It truly is a beautiful piece to which I have been proud to review, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings for Liv Kristine.
