In music scene, Australia is known by bands like AC/DC, MIDNIGHT OIL and INXS. There are several bands from different styles and I'm here with the first EP from the Hard Rock band called LILLIE. The band is from Sydney and formed in 2008 by the singer Virgina Lillye after many years singing in bands in Germany and besides participating the Australian "The Voice" version. And finally, they're debiting with first EP called simply "Lillye" from worldwide.

The artwork is eye popping and the production by the bassist Christian Lauria is excellent.

The line-up consists with a powerful singer. Lillye voice put power and shines the songs and versatility could be conferred in the entire album. The guitars are heavy but don't be dirty. The kitchen is perfect and makes the difference while you listen. The songs are less than 4 minutes each meaning this could be a radiophonic album, without problems.

The first song - "Sik Of U" - totally heavy and powerful, like the whole album with some influences in Hard Rock you can imagine. Lillye is one of the best female singers I listen recently and she's the highlight in this album. The second track, and the single, "Under", is less heavy than the first. The band keeps above the average and shows us a competent work with a commercial song with Lillye voice cleaner and soft.

The third song - "Mistakes" - with an excellent intro in guitars/drums by Ellis/Lilley and Livingston shines the song. And the atmosphere keeps in the next song, "Who I'm Meant to Be". The excellent quality in their songs shows us you can listen awesome bonds recently. You just need to search them. The last song - "TTTalk" - is a cool way to listen the album.

The album is versatile, interesting and easy to listen and shows an excellent band with competent line-up in it. If you like to listen a new band with cool songs, support LILLYÈ and buy their EP.
