Beyond The Gates Of Imagination Pt. 1
Leviathan

The band is coming from Karlsruhe of Germany and has formed in 2010. Their style is characterized from Deathly vocals and symphonic, classic Heavy / Power Metal music. Just Imagine CHILDREN OF BODOM without Thrash Metal riffs. The virtuoso guitarists are the main plus of this band. Another one is the keyboard player; the guy is using genius melodies and adds more color to the music. Nevertheless, as it would seem, the singer stands behind them in the level of quality. His singing is so similar to Alexi Laiho's style on CHILDREN OF BODOM. I didn't quite like it.
Apart from that, LEVIATHAN is not a typical melodic Metal band. You can find in the album several influences that range from Folk to Progressive Metal. "Beyond The Gates Of Imagination" is a mixture of many kinds of Metal as you have noticed and they are distributed properly, without causing the listener to become bored. I like very much the tracks: "Beneath a Blackened Sky", "Where light and death unite", "Servants of Nonexistent", "The scourge we wield" and "About fangs and feathers".
In conclusion I sum that the guys have great skills as musicians. If they would put more attention to the vocals in the future, they will reach a higher level of quality. Till then...
