Legacy Of Silence - Our Forests Sing album cover

LEGACY OF SILENCE was formed in 2016, they come from Torino Italy, do to line up changes, the release of "Our Forest Sing" was delayed until now, they are classified as Folk Metal, up until last week I did not know there was such a genre.

"Witchblood" begins with a flute, the person playing The flute is amazing but I feel like it doesn't fit with everything else going on in the song, I've heard a lot of instrument incorporated into meta awesomely but the flute is a no for me personally. "Bloodhunt" well at least the guitars are astonishing in this song, it seems that the drums have followed the flute into the abyss of not belonging in this song. "Misfortune" starts out with snarling vocals and heavy guitars, the drums are on track, the flute is subtler in this song, I just can't get accustomed to it but at least it's placed better in this one. "Torment" is a song about facing what's before you and being ready for what is coming after you conquer that. "Heresy" is a song about being betrayed and forsaken by the gods and hunting down a beast and taking it to hell with them,

Basically saying dammit, the ancient gods for leaving them to fend for their self. "Inquisition" focuses more on the flute, drums and Salusso's brutal voice, there are guitars incorporated but the main focus is as I said. "J.A.W.S." brings back Macchia and Mondo's crushing guitar's attacking you with precision. "Nightfall" sounds like friends getting drunk in a pub and enjoying themselves singing, the Heavy Metal version, "Nightfall" is my favorite so far on this album.

"Rebirth" is the final song, it praises his sword for always being there in battle with him and slaying the enemy, it is the slowest song on the album, it's actually one of the better songs on the album, it seems they saved the best for the last two songs in my opinion anyway. The flute kind of ruined this album for me but don't take my word for it, give it a listen for yourself, all other aspects are top notch except it is lacking in production.
