Syksyn Kuoleminen

Six months after its debut "Luonnon Voima", LIBENSNACHT, a one man band project of Robert Brockmann, hits with another full length album named "Syksyn Kuoleminen", or "Dying Of Autumn" for us not fluent in the Finnish language.
It`s one truly depressive ambient Black Metal album, enchanted with lots of sounds of nature, painting sad picture of selfish behavior of man against the nature. The theme of the album is that Autumn is dying and the only way of retaliation is either by death or winter. Songs are very similar in structure, cold riffs, acoustic interludes, various tempo changes, and quite characteristic vocals mixed in overall melancholia. Songs are usually starting with acoustic guitars or slow bass lines turning into whole lot of guitar distortion along the way. But there are also nicely crafted acoustic moments, like "Weiβe Einsamkeit" and "Päättyminen", which are simple but effective themes of evocation of nature, under layered with samples of whole specter of nature sounds.
Without being able to speak (or at least understand German) the whole concept of the album stays out of reach for you. If you are into depressive Black Metal, than you should most definitely check this album out, and if you`re not, you can either way check the amazing acoustic tracks. "Syksyn Kuolemnien" will probably follow the footsteps of its predecessor becoming hit among underground community.
