Heavy Metal: A branch of Rock music and a genre of music that we all love, with - most of the time - heavy riffs, guitar distortion and all the other stuff that you know and that I don't have to mention. Sometimes, though, there are some beautiful moments of acoustic parts, chill melodies or dark atmospheres with other musical instruments than an electric guitar. But this album has only some repeated notes, it is almost 100% acoustic and really boring!

Sean Jude, a guitar player from the UK, created LEAFBLADE in 2004, alongside Daniel Cavanagh (ANATHEMA). Those two are good friends and if you see the bio on the back side of this promo you'll understand it in seconds. I've read more than three times in three paragraphs that they are friends. OK, we got it, you are friends. The bio also says that Sean was a member in ... a variety of theatrical, progressive Rock and conceptual musical incarnations, without mentioning anything else.

As for the Beyond, Beyond album, I'll tell you what happened. I put the CD-R in my CD player and pressed play. And I started listening to one of the most boring albums I've come across until now. Believe me; I tried hard to listen to it. But all those acoustic guitars & the slower-than-a-turtle rhythms (without even one emotional break) made me want to fall asleep. At some points it even copies its own self. I strongly believe that I can write music like that in my place in one day. I know that I'm as bit harsh, but in our days you have to be with all those releases.

If Angelic Recordings wasn't a co-operation between Daniel Cavanagh and Aftermath Music and he didn't tour with ANATHEMA and ANTIMATTER, another project of a former ANATHEMA member, Duncan Patterson, I don't think that he would release an album. Just by writing those two bands, you got the idea of the sound of this album. Well, add the word boring and you'll have the whole picture. I don't know if I want to rate Beyond, Beyond. In one hand I want to show you with my rate that you don't have to buy it, on the other it has as much in common with Metal and Rock music in general as Greeks have with sushi! It's up to to you...
