If you like doom metal with gothic elements and bands like Anathema then this review might be for you. I can't say that I'm really into this kind of metal but releases like this one really make me smile.. Or better spill a tear. It's great when you see that a band can turn melancholy into music. Music into melancholy..

As as mentioned in the beginning of this review, doom metal with gothic influences is what this band offers to you. Very well played doom/gothic to be more specific. Following the steps of my beloved Anathema the guys of Lacrimas Produndere created an album which aims to be a friend during your melancholic nights. During this night the depressive melancholic guitars along with the heart touching rhythm section and the melancholic ALA Anathema vocals will be a great friend. I have also to mention that they use piano, keyboards and other instruments ( such as violin) very smart and the result is very beautiful. On a few songs they turn melancholy into rage and that's I found really interesting. The vocals from melancholic turn somehow into death metal (!) or something. To be honest the raging vocals remind me the vocals of Anathema on Silent Enigma.

What I really like on this album is the guitars. I can't say that it's something really special but the give a strange magic on this album. I really don't have many things to say. This is a great release and I encourage all the fans of doom metal to check them out. When I said that they sound like Anathema of course I don't mean that they try to copy them. It will visit my CD player again and again and again. I also notice some influences from Pink Floyd but maybe that's something to much to say right? Let's burn the wish together guys. Nice work.
