KODIAK JACK is a 5 piece Hard Rock band from Portsmouth and this is an EP released from them in August 2015. All I can say is, man I love how catchy every one of these tracks are.

Right off the bat, the first song "Only The Good" got into my favour. It has a really strong chorus with amazing harmony with lyrics like "Only the good die young", which I have to say, I can't agree more (R.I.P. Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Ian Curtis and so many more other amazing artists that died way too young). The part where they sang "We lift our bloodied hands" really got to me, it is a really simple line but the imagery is powerful, I could see a stadium full of fans pumping their bloody fists into the sky to this song. It is a very raw image that will stick to my mind for a while.

The singer has a great voice, it is slightly throaty. It is a must that I mention that he sounds so similar to Chad Kroeger. I mean, Chad has a great voice, just listens to him with SANTANA and you'll know what I mean. He is clear in what he says and it even has quite a strong Country edge, really obvious in the song "Scars", the twang is just unmistakeable. It is a song about a man who ask someone (possibly his lover), asking what could he have possibly have done wrong and how the scars he received will live with him forever. I love songs like this, they are really human and they tell a story that everyone can acknowledge and empathize with.
