You wanted the best? So here they're back, give a heads up for the mighty KISS. The veteran American Rockers are back with a new awesome Rock N' Roll album.
KISS has been one of the biggest acts in the music business for over 30 years. With their powerful wall of guitars, tight drumming, stadium of vocals, catchy sing along choruses and of course their amazing live show they've manage to achieve an enormous crowd and sold millions of records, and they even have their own army.
The thing with KISS, as it is with every big band, is that they got to the top with such good songs that after that after a period of time it was very hard for them to put an album that stood in the same standards with albums like "Destroyer", "Love Gun" and their live recordings. Mainly it is because KISS are definitely a live band. However, this new album named "Monster", via Universal Music Group, showed that their live performance prowess was also great in this studio album.
Straight from the first song "Hell Of Hallelujah" you get the same hot flaming feeling you've got listening to their records of the 70s or 80s, tremendous wall of sound and a very live sensation that gives you free access to one of their arena live performances. The album is full of sing along choruses, catchy riffs and inspiring vocal sections and an altogether great vibe. "Outta This World" is another great example of that following an amazing chorus, a great drum break with lots of reverb and a captivating riffing.
KISS is a Rock N' Roll band , a commercial in form, they're not really Metal, they're not trying to be sophisticated, they are straight to the face. Even though Paul Stanley doesn't sound as he used to years ago and the fact that there are 2 or 3 songs here that are what I call "album fills", KISS are definitely back in business with this one and it's a big step up from their latest offerings such as on "Sonic Boom". I think that with this album they've done it again, and I won't be surprised if some of these songs will receive great reactions live because KISS are back and ready to Rock.
