Khold - Masterpiss Of Pain album cover

When you hear a band's from Norway, what's the first thought to cross your mind?... 'They're a Black Metal band!'. Well, Khold are from Norway and yes they're a Black Metal band. What did you expect after all, Backstreet Boys? (hehe)

Khold come from Oslo, Norway and surprisingly as it may seem(yeah right!), they don't play anything that hasn't been played over a zillion times already.

What can you tell about an album which is called 'Masterpiss Of Pain' (what a name by the way, hehe) and is completely in Norwegian From the song titles to the vocals...it's all Chinese to me! Well I know that's not a bad thing if you come to think how the bands were back in the early 90's in Norway. Yes, they remind me of the early 90's when lots of legendary BM bands popped out of Norway. Their general style reminds me of bands like Darkthrone and Incarnator, as well as Bathory. Gard's vocals remind me of Immortal very much! I mean the style in his voice! Anyway, it's a pity I can't make out a single lyric. The guitars are so...nineties BM and the drums are um...nothing wild.

The Black Metal fans will surely love this band. Especially the ones obsessed with the Norwegian singing. Personally, I don't find anything special in them. If I were to vote for a song I like the most from this album, I'd vote for the first track, 'Nattpyre', even though I have no idea what the hell it means.
