The band comprises experienced musicians and this partially explains the reason for this 'quick' release only two years the birth of KHAOZ. "Twist The Knife A Little Deeper" is their prime work featuring high energy fueled Death Metal songs that keep things to the minimal level. And this means no fancy props, no keyboards or cheesy effects; just heavy as hell and in times fast Death Metal. The only modernity that KHAOZ bring to their music is the two singers who handle the growling and screaming parts. Well, the screaming vocals are sometimes too much for my taste but after a couple of listening sessions they sound all right and in tune. Leaving aside the fast tracks KHAOZ manage to earn my vote with the mid-tempo ones "Inveterate Fantasy" and "Lost In Serenity" where the MORBID ANGEL influences surface up through the tormenting double drumming pedaling and the out-hell growls. The down tuned guitars preserve this MORBID ANGEL character joining the bass into building a ton-heavy rhythm that will blow you mind (and ears) up.

Taking into consideration that this is the debut release from a literally fresh band then the whole picture of "Twist The Knife A Little Deeper" looks really enticing. They need to solidify this Death Metal character keeping a short distance from the MORBID ANGEL influences and definitely put additional work on the screaming vocals. These can spoil the very good feelings for KHAOZ since they sound a little bit amateur. After all, the Netherlands have a good tradition in Death Metal, don't they?
