Where The Light Ends (Reissue)
Keitzer
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: KEITZER; signed via F.D.A. Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Grindcore, on their 7th album entitled: "Where The Light Ends" (released July 19th, 2019).
Since formation in 1999; the quintet in question have 2 Splits, and 7 Full-Length Albums in their discography so far - I am introduced to their 7th album entitled: "Where The Light Ends". 8 tracks ranging at around 37:12; KEITZER arrange an intricately designed formula of Grindcore developments. "Shattered Silence" begins the record; conveying a blistering barraged frenzy of trailblazing adrenaline, amplified distortion & a boistrously bouncy fabrication of uniquely versatile vehemence that explodes into a crunchy foundation implementing chugging gallops and an extremely groovy breakdown element – creating gnarly chorus harmonies & a monstrously meaty manifestation of meticulious rhythms that rivet with melodious mayhem...while rocketing speedy solidities that slab momentously raw yet primitive rawness.
Consisting of Christian Silva Chaco on vocals; the frontman excels into a concretely gritty flair of profusely robust pipes that showcase rough yells with venomously shreiking savagery, forging blood-curdling lungs & killer perseverence. Persistently crafting a flamboyantly creative dynamic of towering substance, ruthless pandemonium & organic roars that soars with salubriously surging growls...and guttural but chaos-fuelled hostility that thunders with maliciously punchy jumpiness. The titular track embellishes in an experimental dimension; amalgamating hybrid but blast-beating finesse, and rapidly swift nimbleness from guitar duo Nicolai Hinse & Michael Dölle. Lacerating lethal injections of outrè panache, mid-tempo dexterity & diligently detailed stability of razor-sharp wildness.
"Under The Surface" captures heightened havoc; harnessing immersively intense instrumentation, combustible firepower & distinctively distinguished executions consistently demonstrate potently quirky vibrancy with snappy mobility. Serving an enriching overdose of raspy yet volatile canons in which quake with tight ramifications. Audible bassist Simon Venig infectiously pulsates the sound production with thumpy pummelling, rampently piledriving subjugation & stomping with yet engulfing bombardments of sheer aggression while revelling with deadly brutality. "Tyrants" shreds with more ripping madness, while rumbling with systematic drum hammering from Tim Terhechte; battering his set with steely yet rambunctious precision, and an impressive convergence of twin-pedal pounds reverberate with relentless skill.
"Invictus" establishes equally blinding bites of twin-guitar attacks; furiously frantic chunkiness blitzed into a full-frontal assault of neck-breaking strumming, revolved around an oscilliating vortex of warping weightiness. Prodegiously wondering with triggering calamities; energize a constructive contrast of melodious virtuosity, with quintessentially tremendous yet tenacious strikes that stampede like a bulldozing berserker crushing everything in its path. "Slay 'Em All" explains itself I would say, slaying with pulverizing malevolence while thrashing with outrageously remedious oozes of uproarious maelstroms that scorches adroitly blended hooks into a catchy massacre of titanic scale. Juxtaposing noisy songwriting musicianship, professionally performed meltdowns that rock with stylish results & various diversity.
The penultimate song: "Life Destroyer" terminates all eardrum's canal's with punishing magnetism; while rollicking an assorted amount of toppings, variating from differeniate sub-genre death tones to the ominous spices of polished fluidities KEITZER expertly distribute into one neat package. Overall concluding "Where The Light Ends" with the finale epic: "Hellion" (not to be confused with the JUDAS PRIEST staple classic); I am compelled to say that the band certainly outdone themselves with this one, my only gripe could be the sound...it comes across as a noisy wall of roudy mass that some may discredit. If you love incredibly loud-fuelled feedback regardless; this will be your jam. This record has been re-released time and time again for some reason, though I think they finally have got a deathgrind deliverence and can finally move on with it.
Bottom line; KEITZER is a brilliiantly captivating listen, and a discovery all metal maniacs shall enjoy. An experience that will make one replay a good few times at least, as they brim with potentially talented remarkabilities & splendid sophistication - now stop reading and have at it!
