Offensive Warcore, that's what the French quartet refer to their version of war laden Thrash / Death Metal, and so I put on my boots grabbed an M16 and got ready for war, And war is indeed what I got. Helicopters welcome you to the intro that with a short speech at its end prepares you for things to come. If there's one thing that can be said about this record is that it's relentless.

"Holes Of Emptiness" is a hard hitting opener that never lets go, but in that first song lies the problem (or is it???) that haunts the records as a whole, but we'll get to that later. A siren commenced "Overwatch", bearing a groovy riff that is catches fire, "Semper Fi" continues the burning blaze and so do the rest of the tracks. A true standout being "Genevea Memorandum" that is surprisingly catchy with is changing and diverse type tempos.

The album comes to an end with "Lines Of Hate", a fast number that like the rest of the album makes you want to smash everyone that is still standing in a moshpit (or your living room, depending on where you are while listening to this menace). Excellent musicianship, great vocals and a very good production put this album a few notches above many bands hailing out to charge these days.

So what's that problem I was talking about? What problem could I possibly have with an album that good? Simply put, originality, as good as this album is, I've heard it before. The main question is, "is that a bad thing?" not necessarily. Yes, it deeply reminded me of pre-"Roots" SEPULTURA, then again, SEPULTURA themselves haven't sounded this good in the last 15 years. With "No Better Friend - No Worse Enemy", KAUSE 4 KONFLICT produced for Thrash / Death Metal what VALLENFYRE did for Doom Metal back in 2011 with their debut. The last thing that they did was to invent the wheel, they just maintained it enough so the (war) machine will keep on rolling smoothly.
