Originally, what is called today as Speed Metal was just a fast evolution of what NWOBHM meant to be in the 80's. Maybe if the readers take a listening to earlier works of bands as FAITHFUL BREATH, RUNNING WILD, ACID, HELLOWEEN and some others, this idea could be clear. But it's not so difficult to hear elements from Hard Rock and even Glam Metal on albums of such genre, specifically if we talk about the North American School. That's clearly what can be heard on JET JAGUAR's first album, "Endless Nights".

It's clearly influenced by classic Speed Metal bands from USA, full of melodies that sound like NWOBHM (especially IRON MAIDEN) and on others, being extremely accessible. It's nothing something new at all, but it's really good, full of energy and many musical hooks that catch the attention of the listeners. Yes, it's pretty good. The production was done in a way that it sounds crude and energetic as in the past, but bearing the essential elements of modern technologies to become understandable for everyone. It's not the right sonority for the work (it deserves a cleaner insight), but it's not so bad. It could be said as something good, indeed.

Ten very good songs are presented on "Endless Nights", showing a great musical potential. "Jet Ranger" is full of very good melodies and a guitar work that is based on NWOBHM mix of melodies and speed; "Mr. Lee" is that song with tempos that are extremely fast, but with that hooking German Metal ambiance (but with some accessible elements from Hard Rock); the backing vocals during "Blinding Lights" will bring to the listeners minds that Glam/Hard Rock feeling of the 80's, but with a heavy work from bass guitars and drums; "R.O.D. (Race or Die)" is a strong, fast and melodic song, filled with many melodic hooks and a fine work from vocals; the crushing weight and aggressive melodies of "Up to the Top" and "Final Prayers" are their best shots.

Although they have some early releases (an EP, Singles and a Demo), "Endless Nights" shows that JET JAGUAR is really a fine band, and let's hope that they can have a long musical career, for the sake of their fans.
