As part of METAL TEMPLE magazine's campaign devoted for aiding the promotion of newcomer / unsigned bands, we bring you INSURGENTES.
INSURGENTES, hails from brazil . According to the info on the web they are into Trash Metal with elements of Crossover Metal, for all that don't know what Crossover Metal is, here you go; Crossover Metal is a form of Thrash Metal and Hardcore Punk which had mixed both genres together or had influences from each other.
So there are seven tracks in INSURGENTES new album, names "Hezbollah", meaning the political party of god in Arabic, taking out the first track "Intro", what a shocker , that doesn't hold any musical weight. We go directly to the first real track, the title track named "Hezbollah". From the start of the song can be heard the Hardcore Punk influences of the riffs in the track infused with a low level of growling. No revolution sound in "Hezbollah", however after two minutes all hell breaks loose and we go into the Trash part. I think that they did it nicely, a solid track of classic crossover.
"Desprezo Comum" the third track ventures into the Black Metal realms, however does stay in the Hardcore Punk domain. It's a very short track that is typical to the genre. Maybe the most Hardcore track is the next one "último Lugar" that sounds like GREEN DAY met with INSURGENTES to make a track, even though a great solo for a great track, no doubt the best on the short album. "Todas Palavras", the fifth track, follows the same footsteps as the previous track, however has more trash into it.
The sixth track "Inapto" is a great track with many Trash influence however does keep the Punk going on and yet again, great solo.
The last track "Futuro Roubado" is a GREEN DAY style track, less heavy then the others in the album even though the low pitched growling does make a difference.
All in all, a solid release, if any METAL TEMPLE fans are on the lookout for something interesting in the Metal realm, make sure you try INSURGENTES album "Hezbollah".
