Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: INSULTERS; signed via Unholy Prophecies, hailing from Spanish grounds - performing Black/Thrash Metal, on their 2nd album entitled: "Metal Still Means Danger". (Released on New Years Day of 2017)
Since formation in 2008; the quintet in question have released 2 Demos; 1 Split, 1 compilation and a collaboration album. "Metal Still Means Danger" is my next endeavor; while I partly agree with the title of the record, it only means danger if you make it so - I digress, I'm just a rabid fan of implemented sub-genres here to give you my thoughts and feelings on INSULTERS latest delivery. Speaking of which, that is a well-thought out band name and I'm surprised no one thought of that in the dawn of Metal's awakening and rise to brutal dominance over all. 9 tracks ranging at around 38:13; comprising of some of the most consistently designed riffs that will most certainly "Bang Your Fucking Skull" in - fusing elements of Black Metal atmospherics and Thrash Metal instrumentation, this here quartet competently provide a succulent distinctive of hard-hitting songwriting and sound production that will most certainly have you thrashing like a maniac!
...that's what you want, isn't it? Well INSULTERS exercise in complex dexterity and efficiently declaring justice to the fused sub-genres in this non-compromising deliverance. Opening track "Age Of Terror" showcased Skeleton Grinder's delicate and dexterous guitar adroitness - galloping ferocity of intensity. I was headbanging and air-guitaring to some of the heaviest riffs of unprecedented elegance.
"Highway To Death" had me reeling at the edge of my seat; where the Blasphemic Vomitor prominently unleashes proficient Black Metal screams of blood in his throat for an utmost extremely devised performance - almost sounding like TOXIC HOLOCAUST's Joel Grind. The flourishing powerhouse: Nuclear Cummer (had me in stitches) on bass & Bourbon Devastator are well heard within the sound production originally and memorably crushing their instruments with brute of intentions and rhythmic clarity for an organic aesthetic in this pummeling force. "Icons & Symbols" continues this exquisite slab of solid substance; constructively developing frolic attributions of immense proficiency. "Forged In Hell's Fire" fabricates more inventive destruction at your eardrums; producing a formulaic flair of distinctive creativity. "Bastard Soldiers" devises a similar perspective - inducing a superbly brutal fist pound at the beginning.
"Metal Still Means Danger" is easily one of 2017's gems in the Black/Thrash Metal community. "Burn With The Witch" continues that exquisite fist pound I mentioned on the previous track with more effective stimulations in the process, and the concluding 2 tracks "Here Falls The Hammer" & titular track offer more diverse musicianship in which contributes divinely with compulsive and vehement publications ultimately.
INSULTERS have outdone themselves with this one; while the lyrical themes - Anti-Religion, Violence & Alcohol are most riveting to Metal...they surely created one of the most engrossing Metal records of all time. You would simply be doing yourself a disservice if you don't check it out, which is available for free to listen to via their Bandcamp. This thrasher approves this record with graceful impression.<
