Magnificent Glorification Of Lucifer (Reissue)

So today I am pleased to say that I have the great pleasure in reviewing the reissue of one of the most infamous records in Black metal, a record that has gained scrutiny in recent years but has still remained a record that has grown stronger, and still continues to fascinate audiences the world over.
This is INQUISITION's "Magnificent Glorification Of Lucifer"!
I wanted to start this one off with the records first track "Baptized in Black Goat Blood". As the song starts off we are welcomed by a sound of speed and aggression accompanied by a soft toned vocal which seems unusual to hear with a song like this as it carries a strong and dark atmosphere along with it. Funnily enough it does work, it carries this ceremonial feel which grabs the listener in and pulls you deeper in to what this track has to offer. Near the middle of the track it lingers on in a repetitive groove which follows on until it follows up with a ferocious speed that allows for the listener to really unleash it all in one go. From what I have found of this track it holds many key point areas of sound, speed and atmosphere that allow for this track to build up faster and faster which structures it along the way with an almost different vibe in each section of it, it really is a very strong and powerful track that proves itself without fail.
"Crush the Jewish Prophet" is as ferocious, brutal and violent as the title implies. The blisteringly fast riffs, coupled with Dagon's visceral croak and the powerful drumming of Incubus make this track a true classic among the bands impressive repertoire. "Under the Black Inverted Pentagram" likewise has the speed and vicious edge of the previous tracks, but has a distinct, cold and dark atmosphere to it, which hangs over the track like a funeral shroud.
To conclude, from when this record first saw the light of dawn we have seen the band evolve over the years with their sound and their structure, but looking back on this record we see the raw power that INQUISITION has been able to show for themselves and their fans, with this being a reissue we see that it has stood the test of time, not only with fans but with themselves and proven that the art of Black Metal is growing every time with new faces and new sounds.
