Inhumation - Verdant Decay album cover

I always enjoy it when I can help local musicians from my area. INHUMATION is from Frederick Md, my neck of the woods. These guys are Death Metal, and a great representation of the genre. "Verdant Decay" is an EP, that will have you thrashing your head violently up and down from start to finish. They have speed and brutality. On top of it there is a slight amount of melody. Not enough to drop their status from brutal death metal, but just enough to enhance the overall sound they produce.

As I listen to the album I just want to mosh. The drums are just awesome. There are hellish blast beats and sick double bass. The guitar work is awesome as well. They consist of heavy as hell riffs, and nice screaming intervals. They definitely switch it up enough that it breaks that repetitive boundary that brutal Death Metallers often get stuck in. The vocals are harsh and as brutal as you want. The overall ambience is just Heavy as hell. These guys are definitely good at what they do.

All in all I am very proud to say that these guys represent my home state. They are Death Metal at its finest. Yes they are awesome. I would recommend them to any Death Metal fan. As far as local bands go they deserve a lot more recognition. And i will do my best to get there name out there. Check these guys out.
