Nocturnal Carnage by the Unholy Desecrator
Inhuman Depravity
To be a Death Metal band has tons of meanings. You can be as fast and brutal as you can, of course, in the way we all know as Brutal Death Metal. But as this way is extremely full of bands by now, it is very hard to do something different from the usual. To be fast, to be brutal and to use a very good level of technique is something that KRISIUN, SUFFOCATION, MORBID ANGEL and many others used before. And the Turkish quartet INHUMAN DEPRAVITY does nothing new at all on their first album "Nocturnal Carnage by the Unholy Desecrator".
Ok, the quartet follows that trend of "brutality + fast tempos + good technique + some slower moments", but as I told already this formula is really becoming repetitive. The band is talented, this I must say, and has a great potential to create something good, but is lost inside their own musical world. It's not exactly a clone, but their music lacks of a more personal insight. And sometimes, their songs become repetitive to our ears; and don't come with that old story that Big Daddy doesn't understand Death Metal - I saw the style came to life and saw its evolution, dears.
The sound quality is not a problem. It could be better, of course, but is good, heavy and clear as the band's musical work demands.
Again I'll say the same thing: the band is talented, and guitars, bass and drums are doing great with their technique. The vocalist really needs to use more tunes on his voices, because this extreme low grunts on Chris Barnes' way becomes a bit boring sometimes, but as well, it is not as bad as some might think. Their greatest and only sin is the lack of something of their own.
Some of their songs show clearly that they can be great, as "Dismembered and Buried Instincts" (good and technical work), "Rise of Vengeance by Bloody Torment" and "Slain Dissection Abuse" (the guitars are doing some good riffs here), but the intentions drown deep in their lack of personality.
Guys, you have a great potential, form a very young band, so on next time, your creative power.
