Indicco - Karmalion album cover

INDICCO is band from Madrid, Spain, formed in 2008 by Indigo Balboa and Paco Cerezo and have been playing melodic Rock / AOR. Their debut album "Karmalion" was just released. On this album there are also a variety of special guests: Jimi Jamison (SURVIVOR) on vocals, Mark Spiro (AEROSMITH, BAD ENGLISH, GIANT, John Waite) on backing vocals and production, Tim Pierce (Bruce Springsteen, Rick Springfield, Rod Stewart) on additional guitars.  Antonio Muñoz (ex-91 SUITE) on bass, Mario Carrión (THE VAL) on drums and Angel Valdegrama on keys. The album has been recorded both in English and Spanish.

"Crying" opens the door way into a new realm with a fantastic drum and bass, AOR Style, that made me shiver. Indigo Balboa is very deep toned, powerful, so romantic & fluent in English. There is a somewhat similarity to SUNRISE AVENUE, especially with the catchy chorus, melodic riffs & choirs, a highly memorable song. "Feel So Good" is the album's major hit, it is energetic & catchy AOR track where the rhythm section is so tight, melodic singing that will serve you the perfect mood. "Leaving Me" is another fine track with elements of Spanish music in way of the guitar playing, awesome melodies creating a mega catchy number. "Moonlight" is energetic, surfing the catchiness, 80s riffing and a hell of a solo section. "Days Of Wine And Roses" share the spirit of old BON JOVI, yet without the Sambora riffing. Also worth to listen are: "Feel No Shame" with nice guitars, Pop like sounds, the lovely "The Voice Of The Wind" surging with great AOR riffery and utter smoothness, "Wrong" that is a notch tune with Rocking, and the ballads: "All About You" and "Ride The Wave" with fantastic violins.

INDICCO has it in them to create wonderful 80s vein AOR along with sweet Hard Rock. This Spanish band can go really far with their musical intentions, great songwriting and the knowledge of hitting the right nerves. "Karmalion" is a must and I think everyone will find something for themselves within it.
