Black Fucking Metal, Black Fucking Metal....that's a chant my long time brother MANTAS calls out as we end out own shows with M: PIRE OF EVIL...and after a once through of 'Disintegration: Psalms of the Veneration for the Nefarious Elite' by UK's own sons,  INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS, I find myself chanting it too!! Is it Black...I mean real Black Metal ala IMMORTAL, DARK FUNERAL, DARK THRONE etc., etc. THAT list is endless now, well, to be fair...YES. Does it break venture down new and never before explored avenues? Well, not exactly but then it doesn't need to. It is pure, honest and dark. This is the first release since the "Severed from Sephiroth" (I think these guys played Final Fantasy!)  Ep in 2012 and is a cool follow up. Death, Satanism is there lyrical theme of course, well all things Black, and if that's the way you dig your metal then INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS are not going to let you down on this album.

They don't let themselves down either, in fact their standard is high and they rise to the bar with some style and panache! Well rounded performances and full of theme, imagery and a sense of darkened tales, as all good BM should be and just listen to "An Orgy of Purple and Scarlet" for some atmosphere, to prove that.

"The First Murdered Lies Within The Primordial Grave" wins as a stand out for me, just for the title, really. I want to hear them introduce it live, but it is a great track too so don't let the mouthful of a title put you off. I heard some good old HELLHAMMER moments in there too to be honest. This album, snarls at you, and marauds through its themes like a kind of hot spitting liquid from a witches cauldron. Did I like it? YES, will YOU like it? YES, Should you buy it? YES. Just get it...turn the light out, grab the black candles, make sure your cat is out (He's going to shit his pants!) and light the flame and enjoy INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS , "Disintegration: Psalms of the Veneration for the Nefarious Elite", and when it's done, and you have drank all you beer and spirits, turn round 10 times and say  INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS , "Disintegration: Psalms of the Veneration for the Nefarious Elite" as fast as you can...I DARE YOU!
