The problem with In Tormentata Quiete is that they try to handle more water melons than one can normally handle and guess what: eventually they drop all of them. It's sad to see a band having so many good ideas and influences but in the end ruining most of their effort just because of overload.
The band was formed in 1998 and in October 2000 they recorded in Fear Studio their first promo I Tre Attimi Del Silenzio. In 2004 they used the same studio to record their first full length album that I'm pretty sure it could have been a much better one.
Musically the band sounds like a mixture of Black Metal, Gothic and atmospheric Metal. Unfortunately in their case there seems to be a lack of chemistry between the aforementioned elements. I listened to the album several times but I couldn't keep a single song in mind. The fact that they use their native language might be a plus in their country but last time I checked English was the internationally spoken one. Marco Vitale sounds very good (especially his screams bring in mind Mr. Filth himself) but on the other hand Giovanni Notarangelo can be considered as an average singer (to say the most) and as for Sara Tenaglia... well, let's say that she stands somewhere in the middle.
The good production helps but in the end there's not much a production can do about. If the band decides to concentrate on one Metal genre (Black Metal, if you ask me) then I'm sure they'll offer a much better outcome. But until then...
