Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations
In Torment

IN TORMENT is a typical Death Metal band hailing from Brazil, with a similar CANNIBAL CORPSE variation. "Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations" is not a long album but a very addictive one, as all Death Metal is for me.
If you enjoy CANNIBAL CORPSE's "A Skeletal Domain", "Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations" will be right up your alley. Providing brutal, growling vocals and screams out of this world and instrumental Death Metal value that will leave you leaving this album on repeat a good number of times, which before writing this review I did exactly that, like everyone does with SLAYER's "Reign In Blood"
From beginning to end "Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations" delivers a typical Death Metal record that every Metalhead should tolerate no matter what your genre of preference is. "Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations" sounds very much the same throughout but as previously stated, it has the replay value leaving me wanting more. Fine sound production for a Death Metal band to boot.
"Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations" has very little filler but straight up brutality that there really isn't much to mention here that we all haven't heard before. However on its own merits IN TORMENT is a quality Death Metal act that should not be overlooked.
If I were to use my imagination on this here, brutal album, as the world glimpses metamorphism with infinite amount of alien like incarnations (hence the title) this needs to be stopped and so with the world facing over population, this needs to be extinct.
"The Unnatural Conception" begins with the typical "CANNIBAL CORPSE" variation I mentioned about earlier, continuing on with "Divine Universal Awareness" with screeching, powerful riffs and left me air guitaring for quite a bit.
Alex Zuchi really has an influence for George Fisher as the rest of the band and album, almost making me think I was actually listening to CANNIBAL CORPSE. The influence is mortifyingly strong once you listen to it.
That's the keyword for this band I think - CANNIBAL CORPSE
Fun fact; IN TORMENT were originally called TORMENT.
With "Into Abyssal Landscapes" the brutality killing rages on opening up another dimension hole (as mentioned as a filler segment at the end of the song) explaining evil individuals creating havoc through this separate dimension. Shit is getting serious.
As powerful screeching riffs continue in "The Threshold" the title track "Sphere of Metaphysical Incarnations" comes in with brutal pounding drums and melodic instrumentals, these guys sure know their stuff on how to implement all this in one.
I would like to mention a very small band that deserve a mention for this album - DEPRIVED PLAGUE instead of mentioning CANNIBAL CORPSE, while their album "Systemic" is another short lived classic the powerful headbanging classic provide, all these bands I've mentioned have a very similar outings of length but heck, all easily replayable if you are addicted.
The rest of the album again sounds very similar to each other so it's hard to mention anything worth mentioning that hasn't already been pointed out. To put it simply, if you love your Metal with a groovy, rage punching, thunderous clap, look no further - prepare to feel torment in your ears as IN TORMENT blow your ear drums away. Another band I'd like to see live.
