IN MUTE is a female fronted Melodic Death Metal band from Valencia in Spain. The band was formed in 2003 and released LP "Aeternum" in 2006 and EP "One in a Million" in 2013. In the Wacken Metal Battle in Germany in 2014 they had reached the first prize of the event against other 29 countries.

I like very much the opening song, "Unusual", with thick drums & melodic riffs. The vocals of Steffi are unmistakably similar to ARCH ENEMY - screaming and growling. Guitars here are aggressive, powerful and also melodic! Perfect collaboration between drums, bass & guitars! Power & unbelievable energy is pouring out from "Waiting" where screaming mixes with an excellent rhythmic section. I love so much this memorable mix!

Titled track "One in a Million" has melodic guitar riffs & pounding drums with catchy screaming which gives a true kick-ass and headbanging time! Aggressive sounds in "Out of Control" sounds brilliant together with melodic stronger riffs in IN FLAMES' style and a heavier rhythmic section reminiscent MACHINE HEAD. Power in voice of Steffi is hearbale and also fabulous guitar solo! Incredible guitar work in Heavy Metal style with strength and melody is in "The Cage" with frantic drums, and also gorgeous guitar solo!

New album of IN MUTE is highly recommended for every Metalhead who wants to listen to quality, Melodic Death Metal, with massive emphasis on Melody and a female voice.. It is worth to listen 25 minutes lasting album of Spanish Metallers. Sincerely recommended to fans of IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, AT THE GATES and MACHINE HEAD.
