I wish I could find the cover for you guys. It's sick. Pure sickness. These guys play Grind/Gore. The most meaningless kind of metal in my humble opinion. I hate bands like Canibbal Corpse etc. but since there are people who like this shit what can I say?
First of all I know nothing about Impaled. Their press release sucks. Why the hell they don't put a discography of the band or something? Anyway as you can see this is not a normal album. It has some demos, some unreleased tracks and some covers. Their last album which is called The Dead Shall Remain has already sold 6000 copies.. WOW! 6000 COPIES? That's an achievement! I mean if you sell so many copies, an album with demo songs and unreleased tracks is the best you can release after that. Come on guys! Even Savatage for e.g who have TONES of GREAT and AMAZING unreleased material never did that. I don't know how long do you exist as a band but definitely you can't be that old.
Anyway the music is Grind/Gore what do you expect from me to say? That they have great keyboard parts and amazing solos? They play Grind/Gore pretty good. The production is average to bad sometimes (especially on the demo songs). They have some interesting riffs and some good drumming but apart from this nothing moved at me. I prefer Fleshgrind though they are not Grind/Gore but Death/Grind. If you like Grind/Gore and if you are one of the 6.000 who got The Dead Shall Remain you should definitely buy this album. No, I haven't heard The Dead Shall Remain but all Grind/Gore bands sound the same to me.. So I guess you'll like it.
